New Lesson...

It's November already and 3rd grading period is fast approaching, this time I will use another medium for my 4th year students, after 5 months of using adobe Flash for our computer subject, I will introduce them the new software to be used for the remaining months of this school year.
 Adobe photoshop, the most powerful tools in modifying images, the most popular software used by designers.. I what i've observed, tarpaulin printing is very popular and it needs powerful software for the design.. this the reason why I will teach my students how to use Adobe Photoshop...

The New Look!

I Have here my new post in relation to my post last November, I hope this blog can help especially to those who are working in a medical field; in the hospitals, clinics, or any health agencies. Hello people of the complicated world! I miss blogging! And I miss visiting, posting, and editing my blog. Since we transferred to our new home, I left my dsl connection in our boarding house, now I have my mobile broadband connection, but it can’t afford to have a stable connection, it takes few minutes before I can connect to the net, wew!

Anyway, I have some interesting topic to discuss, but due to limited time, I’m so busy teaching high school students, I cannot discuss everything I wanted to.

Flash 8 tutorial: Mouse Cursor

One of the software I used in my computer is the Flash 8, I taught my 4th HS students 3 to 4 times a week using this software. As of now, I introduce them how to deal with actionscripting, of course, stating from the very basic.

here is one of my lesson I shared to them, how to change the mouse cursor the way they want to.

1. create a new file in Flash Document. Use any size, set FPS to 24.
2. a rectangle tool, choose the best color you want.
3. the subselection tool > click on one of the corner of the rectangle and drag it to the center of the rectangle, make it sure that it looks like a mouse pointer, adjust more if you want, then convert your object to symbol > movie clip
   
4. Go to Actions in the property inspector of press F9 so that the Actionscript window will appear
   
5. On the actionscript menu, select global function > movie control and use the following code: onClipEvent (load)
   {
   startDrag(this,true);
   }
6. try to view your movie, now your cursor was changed but the original is still visible
7. insert another layer, on frame1 of your new frame write the following code: Mouse.hide(); this code will hide the original mouse cursor.
8. Test your movie!
   

Hello! I'M Still Alive!

I live in a world with two distinct polarities - my life and my work. Recently, I have been bombarded by an overwhelming amount of uncertainty regarding my profession in teaching students about the basics of computer programs such as Dreamweaver, Fireworks and Adobe flash.

I'm very proud to say that I now have 31 units in my computer lab. Students are busy incorporating themselves with what I have embedded in their minds and hearts.

Bohol: A Wonderful Retreat Experience

Last October 24 -30, 2008 another wonderful event happened in my life! It was our Faculty and Staff Retreat held in this beautiful island in Visayas, in Bohol.
Our week- long event in which almost every beautiful places in this island we've been visited.The first day we visited was the Sandugo shrine where, according to the Philippine, it is the place where Datu Sikatuna having blood compact with Meguel Lopez de Legaspi.Next place was the chocolate hills, one the World's 7wonders of nature finalist, we spend an hour picture taking, climbing in a 1000-steps stairs going to the top of the hills, and after we continue our tour to to area of the tarsiers.
We took our lunch in floating restaurant in the Luboc river, one of their tourist attractions.
Next: the 17th century Baclayon church, One thing I admired most about the people of bohol are their faith, their tradition and they love to preserve their history,

There are so many places we visited in Bohol and this will discuss on my next post.

2008

I never forget this year, this is the year that almost everything I wish become a reality.

First: My Graduation, after 9 years of struggling in my college life, I finally graduated.
Second: Employment, after 2 months from my graduation day, I got hired and earned from my own sweat.
Third: My Wonderful wedding day! As what I have said in my last post, It is the most wonderful event in my life.
Fourth: Our wonderful retreat in Bohol. and this will be tackle in my next post.

FlashBack: Remembering the Most Wonderful Event of My Life

Although it's too late, but still I'm to post this most wonderful event that happened in my life. It was happened Last October 11, 2008. After 10 years and 9 months of faithful relationship, the day finally come.

Connected 24Ever!

At last! I have now my own DSL connection in our home, after 28 days, from the date of subscription, I have now my 1mbps DSL connection in my PC. As what I have promise on my latest post, starting today, I will post regularly to this blog. So watch out!
