My Eyes Need Glass

For five years working in the computer laboratory, working with the computer 8 to 13 hours a day, my eyes slowly become dim, I can’t clearly see things for more than 10 meters away from me. May be I need a glass now for my eyes, to protect it. Last year when there was a free eyes check up here in our campus, I found out that my vision has only 75% due different factors.
When I browsing Internet to look for a different kind of eye glasses, I found out a site Zenni Optical $8 Rx Glasses sells a huge selection of stylish prescription glasses online for as low as $8! AWS Exam

Early this morning, I am one of the 24 ITE students take the AWS Aptitude Test,It is a 15 -year old IT Company which main office is based in Japan, After further presentation we are given 10 minutes break before the exam officially started.

The Exam categorized into three parts, Part 1 and 2 are Abstract Reasoning and the last part is mathematics. The first part is 40 items and we’re only given 10 minutes to solve, (Wow!) And when the time is up I only answered 27 items, but I’m pretty sure of my answers.
Second part of the exam is 30 items and 15 minutes to solve, and I got those items answered before the time runs out. Also for the third part which is mathematics, though basic but it is a mind boggling questions. Tomorrow we’ll know who’s got pass, and those who will pass the exam will be given another sets of exams and be a part of AWS Company, and have a change to work for Japan. Wow! Japan! But I’m not interested even if I pass the exam. I don’t want to go to other country, I Love to work here in the Philippines. I want to be with my family, my love one. Good luck to those who pass, start studying Nihonngo now, but for me Kirai desu! (I don't like it)

40 days of Fasting...47 Days Left

In the Western Christian calendar, Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent and occurs forty days before Easter (excluding Sundays). It falls on a different date each year, because it is dependent on the date of Easter; it can occur as early as February 4 or as late as March 10.
At Masses and services of worship on this day, ashes are imposed on the foreheads (or tonsure spots, in the case of some clergy) of the faithful. The priest, minister, or in some cases officiating layperson marks the forehead of each participant with black ashes in the shape of a cross, which the worshiper traditionally retains until washing it off after sundown. The act echoes the ancient Near Eastern tradition of throwing ash over one's head to signify repentance before God (as related in the Bible).

As the College Graduation Day of UIC falls on easter sunday, guys... we have to wait 47 days of this great great celebration in our life! Advance Happy Graduation. But before that... We have to pass all of our subject especially our THESIS! hehehe...

My Time is Precious

As days of my college life getting closer to the end, my time has more become precious for me, Rendering my daily works, doing my thesis, surfing Internet for posible job opportunities, and doing other works as requested by my area heads. having the age of 31 and still studying is not easy. I need to manage now my time correctly so that I can finish my work in every day.
I know it's hard for me to look for a job, considering my age, But I'm still thinking positive, having worked here in this university for more than five years keeps me more familiar for the works that related for my choosen profession; the world of IT, as everyday I found different computer problems, everyday I gain a new Idea, and how to solve that problem.
My time is precious, I need to used wisely.

Our Consultant's Point of View

Our consultant's feedback about our system (in our thesis) yesterday, challenge me alot, for his own rating our system just reach only 75% complete, (where for my own rating it is reach up to 98%, hahaha!).

Well, alot of changes to be made, grammar correction, error trapping, settings...(where some of those seems imposible to make..such as changing offense due up 15 days? I cannot do that! days in week is up to 7 only and that's the mechanism I've used how to compute and add days in a particular dates...) Alot of thing to be done, and those things to be done before our pre-defense this coming Feb. 9. I hope that I can be given more vacant time to do this, being a working student and system programmer, time for me needs to be manage correctly and equally.

For our consultant, thank you sir for making me aware and teaching me the nice idea being a system programmer. I keep it as a great challenge for every work, every task I need to accomplished!

A Wonderful Token

A 4th Nursing student approach me and ask my help to make their powerpoint presentation for their seminar. I as look at the documents she gave to me (in an MSword format), I told her that it will make 100 to 110 slides, and I told her that I'm very busy for my duties and for my thesis, but later on I accepted it, I begin to make the slide in an random hours because I'm really busy for other work speacially the paperworks given to me by my area head (as what I've written in my previous post)

The power point presentation done almost 3 days, and early this morning, the student came to ask me if is it already finish because they will start their seminar at 1pm this day. then I give her the copy and told her what to do first and how to continue slide, if they wish to pause it, it is compose of 108 slides with complete animation, pictures and link for every title of the topic so that it is easy for them to take directly to topic they want to, because, as what I know, thier seminar took 4-5 hours. after then she gives me an envelop and told me to open it after they leave, then minutes gone by, I open the envelop, I found a card with hearts printed in the center, and the title of their seminar, a stick token with white heart at top with silver dust, a big pencil, and P300. wow!
I tried to back to her the P200 beacause i know it is too much, but she refuse to accept it, and she said "kulang pa nga yan sa naitutlong mo sa amin kuya...". As I look back to the tokens she gave me, I realized the value of my work, and my service, honestly, I hate to make a power point presentation for more than 20 slide, it pissed me off specially in applying custom animations for every details. it's a time consuming. A Wonderful Token! It reminds me the value of my works. Not the money but the feelings inside my heart when there's somebody appreaciates me and my works, when somebody respects me, and aknowledge the value of my service.

This is my last post about our system, I know I already mentioned about our system in my previous 2 posts, well I can't post other topics coz my mind and body are always focused on it, working 10 to 12 hours daily, even during bedtime, my mind still working for what other features I can add to it.
