The Rocker

"The Rocker" tells the story of a failed drummer (Rainn Wilson) who is given a second chance at fame. Robert "Fish" Fishman is the extremely dedicated and astoundingly passionate drummer for the eighties hair band Vesuvius, who is living the rock n' roll dream until he is unceremoniously kicked out of the band. Twenty years after his rock star fantasies are destroyed, just when Fish has finally given up all hope, he hears that his nephew's high school rock band A.D.D. is looking for a new drummer. They reluctantly make him the newest member of the band, giving him a chance to reclaim the rock God throne he's always thought he deserved, and taking the young band along for the ride of their lives.
STARRING: Rainn Wilson, Christina Applegate, Jeff Garlin, Emma Stone, Teddy Geiger, Jason Sudeikis, Jane Lynch, Demetri Martin
DIRECTOR: Peter Cattaneo
STUDIO: Fox Atomic

Another Journey
Last night I made my final decision on where should I go after staying here in this campus for 5 years. I will accept the job offered to me by the administrator in a school in the other city, for 3 main reasons;
First, I need to find a job as early as I can so that I can help my lovely mother to re open her small sari-sari store in our place. Since among the 5 siblings I am the only one who still single, and my mother has great expectation on me. This the main reason why I pursue my ambition to continue my studies.
Second, my girlfriend is working as a teacher in that school, I no longer spend P200.00 for fare every time I visit her.
The last one is that, we're getting married this coming October, and I need a lot of preparations for that.
This work was offered to me a month before my graduation, but I did not make any decision regarding this, because I thought I can work here in this school, but since I figured it out that it is impossible for to get work here, I made my final decision.
The school administrator also told me to find other one who will teach computer subjects for high school. So, for those who are interested teaching computer subjects for high school with me, just post your comment. (^=^).

Largest Football Shirt
In celebration of the Italian launch of ProEvolution Soccer 2008 the Italian sportswear manufacturer, Errea, created a huge football shirt for Konami and Digital Bros, which was unveiled at the Arena Civica in Milan, Italy, on 18 December 2007. Following precise measurement by Marco Frigatti of Guinness World Records, the football shirt was officially recognised as being the largest in the world: 68.5 m (224 ft 8 in) wide, excluding the sleeves, and 71 m (233 ft) high. The football shirt weighed 700 kg (1,543 lb), was made with 6 km (3.7 miles) of fabric, and required 170 km (105.6 miles) of thread, to create a total area of 4,863 m² (52,344 ft²). The new shirt smashed the previous record holder from Mexico, with a shirt measuring 51.32 m x 51.46 m (168 ft 4 in x 168 ft 10 in), achieved on 10 May 2006.
The record was created to celebrate the launch of one of the most loved games in Italy and was linked to a UNICEF initiative to help build schools, provide education materials and train teachers in six African countries. In addition, a number of regular-sized football shirts, autographed by celebrities, were then auctioned to raise funds for the UNICEF project.
This hugely successful event was organised by Brand2Live, itself proud to have created a link between virtual and real sport, and with this brand new Guinness World Record.

New Records in the Philippines
On 15 March 2008 – nearly 487 years to the day after Ferdinand Magellan discovered the Philippines – businesswoman Sister Grace Galindez-Gupana (Philippines) achieved five Guinness World Records in a single day.
With the support of the Philippine National Red Cross, Sister Gupana embarked on a mass medical mission to provide 24 hours of free screenings for the marginalized Pintong Bocaue community. In doing so, she established four Guinness World Records:
Most blood identification tests in 24 hours: 260
Most cholesterol readings taken in 24 hours: 527
Most blood pressure readings taken in 24 hours: 2,302
Most diabetes readings taken in 24 hours: 503
Sister Grace wanted to involve children of the community in a record-breaking attempt too, and recruited youngsters from the local Baranggay Pintong Bocaue school to complete the longest drawing. Using coloured crayons, the children drew a picture of a long dragon with horns. The drawing was subsequently burned, in a symbolic act representing the victory of good over the devil.
All records were accredited in person by the Director of Records from Guinness World Records, who flew from London to Manila to certify that each record attempt had been carried out legitimately and to present Sister Gupana with certificates for her new records.
Sister Gupana is not new to record breaking. Last year, the ardent supporter of the State of Israel and its citizens reaped her first two Guinness World Records in the Holy Land for the largest flag (18,843 m²; 202,823 ft²) and for the largest banner (54,451 m²; 586,103 ft²).
For Sister Grace, breaking a record is a way of showing to the world that Filipinos can make a difference and are capable of helping and supporting those in need. source from Guinness World Record

Effective Daw!
Yesterday I received an email from my friend... I don't know if it is true but she said, it is effective formula:
1. Say yourself, say the name of the only guy or girl you wanna be with 3 times !
2. Think of something you wanna accomplish within the next week and say it to your self 6 times!!
3 . If you had 1 wish what would it be? say it to yourself 9 times!!!
4 . Think of something that you want to happen between you and that 1
special person and say it to yourself 12 times!!!
5. Now, here's the hard part! pick only 1 of these wishes and as you
scroll down focus and concentrate on it and think on nothing else but
that wish & final wish about that one wish that you picked.
After reading this, you have 1 hour to send it out to aleast 15 people,
and what you wished for will come true within in one week! The more
people you send it to, the stronger you wish will be! The more, the
better!
If you choose to ignore this letter, the opposite of what you wished for
could happen, or it will just never come true
